The 1982-1983 West Fargo High School Boys Basketball team was the 1st Class A State Championship team in school history. The team finished the season with a 16-9 record. West Fargo won the state championship game in overtime on a last second shot made by Tracy Brumfield. They beat Bismarck by a score of 54-53. 

The West Fargo community exhibited overwhelming support and rallied behind its 1st Class A State Championship team.
