1993 Girls Softball Team

The 1993 West Fargo Packers girls softball team was one of four teams credited with starting high school girls softball in the state of North Dakota. Members of the team had played together in summer softball leagues since elementary school. The 1993 team was comprised of 11 players and was coached by Larry Ottesen, John Gromatka, and Linda Ottesen. The West Fargo High School girl’s softball program has won 23 state championships including 19 in a row under current coach Pat Johnson, who Larry Ottesen appointed as coach in 1994. The team’s only loss was in 1997.
