The 1998 Football Team finished the Eastern Dakota Conference season with an 8-0 record and a final 12-0 record for the season. The Packers won both the Eastern Dakota Conference Championship Title and the State Class “AAA” Championship Title. They had 7 players named to the All-EDC Team, 4 players receiving Honorable Mention All-EDC Team, 4 players named to the 1st Team All-State, and 2 players named to the 2nd Team All-State. Coach Jay Gibson was named the State “AAA” Coach of the Year. The football team had a perfect season and continued the championship tradition for the West Fargo Packers.
