Jan Maxwell is an actress. A five-time Tony Award nominee and two-time Drama Desk Award winner, she resides in New York City where she moved after attending Moorhead State University majoring in theatre. Jan resided in West Fargo from 1961-1975 and attended West Fargo High School from 1971-1975. She was an honor student and was very active in the music department, directed by Daniel Holm, the drama department, as well as participating in gymnastics and track. In theatre at WFHS, she participated in the productions of Deadwood Dick, Harvey, and Mash. Ms. Maxwell has gone on to star in numerous plays and musicals in New York City and around the country, many of them on Broadway.
